Windows Mobile 7, the next version of Microsoft’s mobile o/s will be released to manufacturers in spring 2010. So, mobile phones running the o/s should start to appear by not later than Q3 2010. The new platform will allow mobile phones running Windows Mobile to better compete against Apple’s iPhone. This will be the case because the new user interface will make full use of touchscreens, and that will be done in a better way than the current Windows Mobile 6.5.
