Twitter Hacked
Last month a New York teenager identifying himself as Michael ‘Mikeyy’ Mooney has claimed that he managed to inject two worms into the social network Twitter.
The first worm sent tweets to Twitter users in order to invite them to visit a certain website. Consequently when users visit this website, their computers become infected and in turn they automatically send out further tweets to invite other users to the same site.
A second worm sent out two different messages: ‘Twitter please fix this, regards Mikeyy’ and ‘Mikeyy is done.’ It seems that the young hacker is aware that he can go to jail for his actions, but he insists that his only intent was to alert Twitter of a flaw in the system.
