New Atom to power future Netbooks

Intel released information about the next generation of Atom processors (the Atom range of CPUs power most of today’s net-books). The new generation will incorporate a memory controller and a grahics processor. This is good news for most consumers because this will make it possible for manufacturers to release cheaper netbooks. However, this is bad news for power savvy users who were hoping that in the future many netbooks would come with nVidia powered graphics.

Next version of Microsoft Office coming in 2010

Microsoft announced that it will deliver Office 2010 in either Q1 or Q1 of 2010 together with other parts of the Office 2010 System. It seems that the ribbon interface, which was introduced with Office 2007 and which is disliked by many users, will be enhanced.

PC in a keyboard

Asus will be releasing in late June a fully functional netbook built into a keyboard. It also incorporates a 5-inch touch panel and wireless HDMI out. The Asus Eee keyboard will run on a 1.6 GHz Intel Atom CPU, 1 GB of RAM, 16GB or 32GB SSD Hardisk and Bluetooth.
