    • ]]>     Intel released information about the next generation of Atom processors (the Atom range of CPUs power most of today’s net-books). The new generation will incorporate a memory controller and a grahics processor. This is good news for most consumers because this will make it possible for manufacturers to release cheaper netbooks. However, this is bad news for power savvy users who were hoping that in the future many netbooks would come with nVidia powered graphics.

    • ]]>     At the moment all netbooks come either with a flavour of Linux or with Windows XP because the typical netbook hardware is not powerful enough to run Windows Vista. However, the good news is that Windows 7 Home Premium should actually run on netbooks without impacting hardware performance. Windows 7 Starter Edition will be another option but this version of Windows 7 can only run three applications at a time so many users will certainly not like that at all.
