Quake Classic on the iPhone

On the 22nd of June 1996 id Software released Quake, a first-person shooter video game which required a 66 Mhz and 8 MB of RAM to run. These specs will surely make a lot of people laugh nowadays, but at that time most PCs came equipped with a 33 Mhz cpu and 4 MB of RAM, so not everyone could play Quake. Now id Software have confirmed that they are planning to release the original Quake on the iPhone! Who would have imagined in 1996 that one day we would be playing that cpu and memory hungry game on a small mobile phone?!

In the mean time id Software have already released Doom Classic for the iPhone. Doom is considered to be the prequel of Quake and can be downloaded from: http://www.idsoftware.com
