Google have recently announced that users still running Internet Explorer have time till the 12th of March to upgrade to either IE7 or IE8 or switch to another browser if they want to enjoy any new features offered on YouTube. The same applies to Firefox (up to version 3.0), Chrome (up to version 4.0) and Safari (up to version 3.0).

Google Buzz

This week Google have added Buzz to the interface of all GMail users. According to Google, Buzz will allow GMail users to share updates, photos, videos, and start conversations about the things they find interesting. So, far there have been mixed reports on the Internet as regards this new service. Some users say that it looks like Facebook, others like Twitter, while others say that it can be easily used for spamming by connecting it to Google Reader.

Remove Viruses from MSN Messenger

Although most people know what computer viruses are, not everyone knows that some of them target chat software and that the same software is used to propagate the virus further. A case in point is Microsoft’s MSN Messenger which is one of the most popular chat applications on the Internet. Sometimes, while a user is logged on, he or she receives a message from one of his or her contacts and which invites the user to click on a link to see some pictures or view some website. What the user is not aware of is the fact that this message was sent by the virus which has infected the contact’s computer and that if the link is clicked, the infection will also spread on the user’s computer.

If you start receiving these kind of messages it is important that you don’t click on any links. What you need to do is to ask your contact if he or she has sent you any messages with links and if the answer is a ‘No’ you give them the following link:
